Three outreaches across Hachioji, Chiba, and Tokyo — an English dinner near Kogakuin University, an American Thanksgiving at Christ Center Church that drew twice the congregation's size, and conversation groups that put the team in front of people they would never otherwise have met.

Golden Week 2025 Mission Trip

A small team of four focused on going deep rather than wide — helping run three church retreats, with Christ Center Church at Iwai beach, Tokyo Shibuya Fukuin Kyokai at Mount Sawai, and Asakawa International Christian Church at the foot of Mt. Takao. In small groups they asked the kind of questions that make a person examine what they actually believe, and the principal of Yokosuka Christian School opened his classrooms so the team could teach English and pray with the elementary students.

2024 Mission Trip

The first mission trip to Japan, and the testing ground for what future trips would look like alongside Reformed Mission Services. The aim was to support the local church by handling anything and everything within our ability, so that they could focus on sharing the gospel — and to empower local Japanese Christians to live out their faith.

Deacons in fellowship outside church for the first time · 42 people from 5 churches at one dinner · local believers sharing the gospel themselves · RMS formally joined the work in Japan
